Course Objectives and Goals
  • 1. Sharpen clinical skills in an unique Kiiko Acupuncture Style and Method
  • 2. Improve understanding of Chinese Medical Classic Texts from the Han Dynasty
  • 3. Enhance quality of clinical application of acupuncture, involving liver issues
  • 4. Learn how the action of the Bao Mai relates to menstruation
The Course covers:
  • 1. The unique style of Kiiko acupuncture
  • 2. The Han Dynasty Classic Texts, including Eighth Difficult Issue from Nanjing.
  • 3. Liver Organ issues
  • 4. Women issues including Bao Mai and menstruation
Master Kiiko Matsumoto offers seminar in Boston on her unique style of acupuncture. She will discuss her theory and style based on her study and practical application of Chinese medical classics, abdominal palpation and work of Master Nagano.

There will be a theme attached for special interest in a particular workshop each month. The tentative plan shown in the following will be finalized shortly:
For September, on the Sunday of 9/21/08, GYN/Infertility Conditions.
For October, on the Sunday of 10/19/08, GYN/Infertility Issues.
For December, on the Sunday of 12/07/08. Miscellaneous Women Issues.

Kiiko Matsumoto (KM) style acupuncture was developed by Kiiko through her ability to integrate the works of Japanese Masters with her scholarly knowledge of the Chinese classics medical texts and her own findings into a clinically-effective style. She is internationally reknown for her scholarly studies of the classics and has published 5 books & many articles. Kiiko holds two very busy practices & teaches in US and abroad. She is also co-director of the Clinical Acupuncture Course for physicians at Harvard Medical School, & Beth Israel Hospital and teaches at acupuncture schools in NY and NJ.
