A Japanese doctor, Dr. Yoshiaki Omura, found the technique and found it very useful to his patients. He advocated the use to a lot of people. I found it very interesting and useful to apply to our daily lives.
What is O-Ring? It’s best to explain with an example. Let’s say, I am unsure about some strange food my hostess offered me at a party. Hoping not to offend her, I want to test it out to see if it’s good for me to take it before I put it into my mouth. Firmly touching the index finger and thumb of my dominant hand, I leave the food in the palm of my other hand. This is when I need my friend to use her finger to pull my ring off while I try to resist her effort. As Dr. Omura explains, if the food is good for me, I will have no trouble resisting the effort of breaking the contact of my fingers of my dominant hand. If the food is harmful to me, my friend will have no trouble breaking the bond between my fingers.
This can also be used to test liquor, food, drugs, or combination of such. If the test is for liquid in a glass, just put the other hand on top of the glass with the palm facing toward the liquid and perform the test.
What to prepare? We need to keep calm to go through the test in order to get the actual benefit. Sitting, standing, or lying down on bed is all right. Be sure to relax your arms. Get rid of all metals (jewelries, watches, eyeglasses) or magnets. Stay away from high-voltage power source or microwaves.
For those people who drink too much, or are too tired, sometimes the palm test may not be sensitive enough. If every test can break off your ring, that means you are too weak in your current state of health, or may be an improper application of the method. In that case, you may want to try using your hand on your forehead instead. Leave the testing food on the forehead near the middle where your two eye brows meet. Then try the O-Ring again.
The principle of the O-Ring is for a tested person to understand how the test works. He/she should use his/her primary hand and form an O-Ring with his/her index finger and thumb of his/her primary hand. The test food or goods is in the other hand/forehead. The second person use his/her two index fingers to pull the O-Ring apart and see if it is easy or not to break the bond. The test is to find out the harmonious relationship between the good and the tested person.
Some cautions:
-
Finger nails should be cut short. This improves sensitivity of finger touching.
- Concentration should be normal, not in the “I won’t let you beat me” mentality.
- The O-Ring should be level parallel to the ground. The pulling effort is also on the level.
- Remove metals from our body or pocket first.
- Arms should be relaxed and not touching the body.
